Administering Insulin - Add on Module

The aim of the Administering Insulin module is to provide staff with the theoretical knowledge about what insulin is, subcutaneous injections, injection sites, injection preparation,  administering insulin including correct procedure, mixing insulins & injecting with a pen. This module is approximately 30 minutes in duration, a workbook is provided and a certificate of attendance. This module provides theory only, the assessment of competency should then by carried out within the care setting.
