Diabetes Medication Module

This module is delivered by a fully qualified Pharmacist and aims to provide carers & nurses with the knowledge they need to enable them to safely & effectively manage diabetes and it covers the signs & symptoms of diabetes, its management and the various treatments and how to administer them, blood glucose testing, diet & exercise and the complications. This module is 4.5 hours in duration, a workbook is provided and a certificate on successful completion of the multi choice assessment.

(Please note this module is theory only. Practical assessment of competency to carry out blood glucose tests and administer insulin must be carried out by a local district nurse)
